Documentation Center of the Territory

Scarlino‘s only museum-the Territorial Documentation Center-offers a brief overview of the area’s history and displays ruins unearthed at nearby Scarlino Castle.

The exhibits date back as far as the Bronze Age.

The highlights of the exhibition are 13th-century Spanish ceramics and a splendid vase found by archaeologists with 100 gold florins inside. The coins date back to the 14th century.
