Baths of Sorano
Along the road that leads from Pitigliano to Sorano, in the heart of the Tufo area, there are the Terme di Sorano, beautiful spas immersed in the green nature of the Maremma, with waters with very important beneficial and curative properties.

The thermal pools
Two of the three thermal pools are immersed in the large English lawn, with an adjoining 3000m2 solarium, while the third is positioned in the center of the wood.
The large thermal pool is open all year round, has a surface area of 370m2 and is arranged on two levels, it is open all year round, thanks to a glass and wood structure that allows you to immerse yourself even on the coldest days. The water in this pool flows directly from the source and has a constant temperature of 35°C. The swimming pool is divided into two levels, in the upper part the water has a height of 1.40m, in this section there are some comfortable seats to enjoy the properties of the water in relaxation, in the lower part the water has a height of approximately 60-90 cm, here there are a series of waterfalls for natural massages. The sports pool is rectangular in shape and has a surface area of 200m2. It is open from May to October and has a height of 1.40m. The last swimming pool, certainly not least, is the Bagno dei Frati, a small thermal pool immersed in the woods and adjacent to the thermal stream. This tub dates back to the 1400s and in ancient times was used by the friars who lived in the Pieve di Santa Maria dell’Aquila, which in the 15th century was the site of a convent. This tub has small dimensions and a height of 1.40 m. it can accommodate up to 15 people at the same time. The Bagno dei Frati pool is fed by two thermal springs that flow from the rock.

The thermal water of Sorano is classified as bicarbonate-magnesium-calcium and flows from the natural spring at a temperature of 37.4°C.
