The Argentario coast has the best beaches in the Maremma.

With miles of coastline to choose from, you'll find something to suit you, whether you're traveling with children or as a couple.

Most have paid and free sections. You can expect to pay around €10 for two loungers, an umbrella and the use of facilities in the paid sections. Most resorts charge per pair of loungers and not per person. Most won't just rent a sunbed though.

As a general rule, beaches 36 and 35-32 near Orbetello and Albinia are the most family-friendly with lots of sand and calm water.

The beaches of Porto Santo Stefano are not that beautiful, but they are easily accessible and close to the road.

The beaches of Porto Ercole are the most secluded and visually stunning, but are not ideal for families as they are mostly rocky beaches with choppy water.
