Church of Saints Vincent and Anastasius
This rectangular-shaped church was built in the 13th century and is one of the few churches in Semproniano and most of Maremma that has not undergone major restoration.
In fact, the church has only been significantly resorted to once-in 1579, when very Gothic features and an inscription were added to the exterior.
The interior of the church is divided into four naves with semicircular arches and covered trusses. Once again, you will be overwhelmed by all the 13th-century decorative elements that have survived. Keep an eye on the original medieval panels with rosettes and the two beautiful stone fonts.
Unfortunately, any art from the time of the original church has been lost or damaged by local museums, but there is the beautiful 17th century painting, “Our Lady of the Rosary,” by Francesco Vanni.
