Visitor's Centre of the Wildlife Park and Nature Reserves
This is the starting point for anyone who wants to learn more about the Mount Amiata Wildlife Park, which is conveniently located just outside Arcidosso.
The visitor center has five rooms filled with maps and detailed descriptions, as well as murals and dioramas of the park and the minerals mined in the area.
Simply put, the main goal of this center is to draw attention to the unique ecosystem found in the nature park, and the guides working there are more than happy to explain to anyone interested why this landscape is so different.
The center also has many tips on how to be more aware of the environment in general and has dedicated most of its exhibit space to raising awareness about issues affecting wildlife life in Monte Amiata, some of which are endangered.
