Poggiolo Sources

This neo-Gothic fountain is like an ornate cathedral. I couldn’t help but mention it because even though little is known about it, it is still so enchanting and so beautiful.

Every time I am in Arcidosso I visit this fountain and admire its exquisite details. Handcrafted by Follonica foundries in 1883, it was such an incredible work of art that it was originally located in Piazza Dante, Grosseto’s main square.

I think it is definitely underestimated by the locals who walk past it without a second thought! After all, how can you not admire something so intricate?
