Church of San Leonardo
First mentioned in 1188, this church has since been renovated several times, and its current appearance dates back to the 16th and 17th centuries.
What this church lacks on the outside is made up for by its breathtaking beamed roof and mosaic lintel on the inside.
The Church of San Leonardo holds some of the most valuable works of art in Arcidosso . At the entrance is the baptismal font designed by Pietro Amanti in the 17th century, who also designed the altar on the left.
Francesco Vanni painted the ‘Beheading of the Baptist’ canvas that adorns the altar in the 16th century, while the painting of St. Bartholomew dates to the 17th century.
