The otherwise quiet countryside is accentuated every couple of meters by high rocky cliffs. You almost feel like you are on the moon!<\/p>\n<p>Scattered around the park is a collection of open pit mines. These can be visited on guided tours-check with the visitor center for information.<\/p>\n<p>This park will probably appeal most to those who love all things underground, and believe me, these people exist-my husband has been to every underground mine in the area!<\/p>\n<p>The countryside is also quite beautiful, and park curators have worked very hard to make sure the area is not just a bunch of empty mines.
