The largest is thought to have been the Capitolium, which was used for ceremonies related to the founding of the city. The temple would have had thick columns and shiny terracotta tiles in a style typical of the Etruscan-Italic period.<\/p>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-426c29c elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"426c29c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<p class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Archaeologists do not think the building is older than 150 B.C. It is likely that an old temple dedicated to Jupiter was in place before that.<br>\nThe smaller building is another temple thought to be dedicated to the Roman god of fertility and the sea Mater Matuta.<\/p>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The ark of Thing in Via Sacra was the city&#8217;s place of worship.
