It is actually the headquarters of the <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.maremma.name\/?p=5015\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span>Museum of Sacred Art.<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The church was abandoned in the 12th century in favor of the larger and newer church of Sant&#8217;Agostino. Both churches are in Piazza Socci.<\/p>\n<p>To admire the Church of Sant&#8217;Olmo it is not necessary to buy a museum ticket. However, it is often closed.<\/p>\n<p>The church is much more beautiful inside than outside and bears the remains of some evocative Sienese frescoes from the 14th century.<\/p>\n<p>Next to the church there is a small arch that leads into the cloister of the church of Sant&#8217;Agostino. This beautiful little courtyard often hosts art exhibitions.<\/p>\n<p>The upper floor of the buildings is decorated with tall thin Gothic windows, while the lower floor is surrounded by a covered terrace supported by thin columns.<\/p>\n<p>In the center of it all is a square of green grass, which I find is the perfect place to sit and admire the beautiful architecture around you.
