Let&#8217;s just say that they were not particularly happy when Sovana&#8217;s men killed their ruler, Count Orsini.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>During the siege the structure suffered serious damage. When it was rebuilt, the designers added the clock, followed in the 17th century by a bell tower.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>With the change of power that also took place in this period, the municipal seat was moved and the building became the municipal archive, for this reason it is also often called Palazzo dell&#8217;Archivio.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Today the entire facade is covered with splendidly colored tuff. On the first and second floors there are decorated windows surrounded by beautifully carved wooden frames.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>As far as I know, this building is still the municipal archive and is therefore closed to the public.
